Kathy earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from The University of Kansas. After she completed her residency, she felt it was natural to "come home" to Lawrence and to its hospital. She likes to be involved in bringing new people into the community, too - she delivers about 180 babies each year to area families. She and her husband, Doug, give to our community - and to our community hospital - in many ways.

"I'm in the hospital on a daily basis, so it's a big part of my life," she says. "I consider this my hospital."
