Mission
The mission of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital
Endowment Association is to secure private gifts and financial support
for medical education, research, land acquisition, and unique hospital
programs; to guide the investment and disbursement of those funds
for the support of Lawrence Memorial Hospital; and to help sustain
Lawrence Memorial Hospital as a community hospital.
The Association also provides opportunities for people to share
in the mission of the hospital through philanthropy. Although the
Association is incorporated as a separate organization and is not
involved in the administration or operation of the hospital, all
Association policies are guided by the mission of the hospital,
and the hospitals dedication to excellence in health care
for all people of Lawrence and Douglas County.
Vision
To financially support the enhanced quality
of life for all people (served by Lawrence Memorial Hospital).

"For as long as I’ve lived in Lawrence,
I’ve been glad to know we have a community hospital. But now,
in serving on the Endowment Association board, I’ve come to
realize just how great a hospital it is, and how fortunate we are
to have such knowledgeable and caring professionals right here."
"Lawrence Memorial Hospital is excellent
because of its people — people who have had years of medical
training, people who know how to care, people who believe in this
work and how important it is. I believe the role of the Endowment
Association is not just to encourage people to support LMH financially
and through volunteering, but also to recognize and thank people
for what they do."
