LMH Endowment Association Hearts of Gold Ball

What the Hearts of Gold Ball has benefited in the past:

The Hearts of Gold Ball has raised more than $1 million since 1999. Here is what the money has benefited:

  • The 2001 Hearts of Gold Ball had over 600 people attend, and raised nearly $120,000, which was used to develop cancer services at LMH.
  • In 2003, 1200 people attended and nearly $445,000 was raised to benefit the Bob Billings Observation Unit.
  • In 2006, the Hearts of Gold Ball entertained over 630 people and raised over $100,000, which was used to expand the Emergency Department.
  • The 2008 ball entertained over 600 people and raised over $105,000 to buy specialized equipment for the Special Care Nursery. 
  • In 2010, more than 550 guests attended the ball, and raised more than $175,000, which went towards specialized equipment for the Cardiovascular Services at LMH.
  • The 2012 Hearts of Gold Ball entertained more than 600 guests and raised over $350,000 in order to renovate the Second Floor Medical Unit.
  • In 2014, the Hearts of Gold Ball was held in the former pressroom at the Lawrence Journal-World and raised funds for the LMH Fourth Floor renovation project. The event raised a half-million dollars toward a $4.2 million project that includes a complete overhaul of the acute rehabilitation and transitional care units.

Volunteer
