Annual LMH Summer Spray 5K Run/Walk Series
What could be more refreshing during a summer run than a little water?
Just one thing: lots of water! We're talking about gallons of H2O - and fun - at our annual 5K run/walk series benefiting Lawrence Memorial Hospital and the neighboring communities it serves. Returning to Eudora, Tonganoxie and Baldwin City, the LMH Summer Spray 5K Run/Walk Series is for all ages and abilities. As you run or walk our certified courses, prepare to be sprinkled, squirted, splashed and, of course, sprayed - all for good fun and two great causes. While half of the proceeds from each race will support one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals, the other half will go back to the three communities through wellness grants. Give a little and get soaked in return!
Course certification and timing
Each 5K course is USATF-certified, and the races will be chip-timed. Results will be posted at www.lmhendowment.org following each 5K.
Prizes and awards
After each race, these prizes and awards will be presented:
- Adidas running shoes to the first-place overall male and female runners.
- A ticket to Great Wolf Lodge to the first-place boy and girl (12 and under).
- Medals to the first-place male and female runners in each age group.
- Ribbons to the second- and third-place male and female runners in each age group.
All participants who preregister will get a T-shirt.
