Exceed Expectations with Quality Care

Exceed Quality Care Expectations

Lawrence Memorial Hospital strives to exceed your expectations every single day. Like the community we serve, the health care team at LMH is made up of diverse individuals with one-of-a-kind talents. Working together, we focus our efforts on a common vision: to be the best community hospital in the nation. In 2013 and again in 2014, we were recognized by Truven Health Analytics as one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation. Each day, we aim to provide excellent care.

Enhance Our Community Hospital

enhance our community hospitalOur primary goal is to preserve and enhance our community hospital, which was founded in 1921. In recent years, large hospital groups have purchased community hospitals such as ours. We know that our physicians, nurses, clinical staff and senior leaders work collaboratively with unparalleled skill and compassion to ensure that your care is supported by best practices, medical knowledge and advanced technology. With a strong endowment, we will be able to provide the financial sustainability necessary for LMH to remain an independent community hospital.

Provide Support To Our Areas Of Care

Supported by 1,300 associates and 250 physicians, LMH is dedicated to providing exceptional physician expertise, advancing technology and adhering to high standards of clinical excellence. We offer 13 major areas of care, and each of those is important and requires support from our community.

From national awards to improved patient safety, added services, enhanced technology and more, at LMH we are embracing change and shaping tomorrow. Only with your support can we continue to make great progress for this community.

Provide Care For Those Unable To Pay

The healthcare landscape always  is changing. The number of charity cases at our 173-bed, community-owned, not-for-profit hospital has increased from 1,400 in 2010 to more than 4,000 cases this year. Lawrence Memorial Hospital must stand by its mission as a not-for-profit hospital that serves our community’s heath care needs, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. It is important to recognize that LMH receives no tax support from the City of Lawrence. It is our endowment and operating reserves that help us cover the cost for those people in our community who are unable to pay their health care expenses.

Truven Top 100 Hospital

Second To None

As the only hospital in our state to receive the 2014 Truven Health 100 Top Hospitals award, Lawrence Memorial Hospital ranks in the top 3 percent of hospitals nationally, and we’re second to none for hospital care in Kansas. Please join us in our continuous pursuit of high-quality patient care by supporting the endowment.
