General Gift – Grateful Patient
Gifts are often given to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association because a patient, family member, business associate or employee sees a need and wants to see that it is accomplished by making a designated donation. Other times gifts are given out of the generosity of someone in a unique situation with a need to make a donation to a worthy cause. These often one-time gifts have become the foundation on which the departments or causes can become more efficient to the benefit of the patients and/or employees.

Cari Shariff loves being a mom, and she remembers every moment of the birth of her daughter, Sufia. “It was a great experience. I know quite a few of the nurses now, so I really felt as if my friends were taking care of me and helping deliver my baby.”

Sufia’s big brother, Isa, also was born at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Isa’s birth was more difficult. “That’s how I got to be on a first-name basis with some of the nurses,” Cari remembers. “During both deliveries it was a relief to know we have such a good hospital here in town. My husband and I would recommend LMH to anyone. The staff are so friendly and will do anything they can to keep you comfortable and make you feel at home.”
