Avery Unruh, who recently turned 9 years old, donated her birthday gifts to patients in Lawrence Memorial Hospital's oncology and pediatrics departments. This is the second time in less than a year that Avery has made gifts to LMH, where her mother, Ann Unruh, recently completed treatment for cancer.

Talk about philanthropy at a young age!

Avery Unruh, who saved her allowance and used it to buy coloring books for children at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, is at it again. This time, Avery asked that the friends who were invited to her recent 9th birthday party not to bring gifts for her. Instead, Avery wanted gifts for Lawrence Memorial Hospital oncology patients and pediatric patients.

On May 2, Avery and her parents, Ann and Elba Unruh, donated the many coloring books (for children and adults), colors, hard candies, puzzles and many, many other presents, which are sure to help LMH patients feel just a bit more comfortable.

Avery's amazing generosity is a reminder that gifts to LMH come in all types and sizes.
